Since winIDEA 2011 build 50 (9.11.50) the debug plug-in has been verified for Eclipse 3.7.0 (Indigo). The existing debug plug-in works fine without changes.
winIDEA is fully integrated into the Eclipse debug environment. Using an iSYSTEM debug plug-in for Eclipse you can use the full debugging capabilities of winIDEA and iSYSTEM´s debuggers from within Eclipse. Eclipse is used as an editor, a project & build manager as well as a debugger. It provides all standard CDT debugger functionality, plus SFR (Special Functions Register) view and Real-time Expressions view. iSYSTEM also provides a Regular Expression Error Parser Plug-in for CDT.
The iSYSTEM debug plug-in provides more than CDT debugger, but less than winIDEA. Comparing to winIDEA, the plug-in does not implement trace, execution coverage and profiler functionality. winIDEA still runs in the background, but during debugging no switching to winIDEA is necessary.
Beside Ganymede (Eclipse 3.4), Galileo (Eclipse 3.5), Helios (Eclipse 3.6) iSYSTEM now also supports Indigo (Eclipse 3.7.0) . All necessary documentation and downloads can be found here:
